Karen cares about our community, too.  Karen moved from Tenafly, New Jersey to Virginia Beach with her parents in 1956. She was raised in Hampton Roads, attending the Virginia Beach Public Schools, St. Mary’s Junior College (high school division) in Raleigh, NC and The College of William and Mary, class of 1968.  Karen and her husband, Buster, who is a Circuit Court Judge in Virginia Beach, raised their three children in the Virginia Beach Public School System and Karen was a past chairman and active member of the Virginia Beach School Board during that time.  Karen and Buster have lived in the Great Neck corridor of the City for many years and they have raised their children there.  Karen was a docent with the Virginia Beach Court System for 18 years, she’s active in her church, Eastern Shore Chapel, and she has served on the Neptune Festival Auxiliary Board and Faith Works Coalition (improving and rehabilitating homes in substandard conditions).  Karen and Buster currently live in the Great Neck subdivision of Broad Bay Point Greens.
